Being a new Virtual Assistant, I was worried about how I was going to find clients, but luckily enough it didn’t take me too long to get my first one on board.

IN THE BAG!

My first client was a change consultancy firm, specialising in change management and project management. The firm’s founder was an ex-colleague I had worked with at least 15 years previously.

When I launched MT Virtual PA, I emailed all of my friends, family, and previous colleagues, asking them to share their love about my new business. It took some guts to put myself out there like that and thankfully it paid off as she contacted me to say that her business needed administrative support and put me in touch with her Head of HR.

THE FIRST
TO DO LIST

That first assignment was interesting, varied, and a very busy role. My typical ‘To Do List’ consisted of organising training courses, maintaining staff records, setting up template documents, organising travel, credit control, setting up interviews, chasing associates, completing timesheets, and so much more.

They were a fabulous team to work with and very supportive of entrepreneurial businesses. I am so pleased to have been able to support them through a time of high growth and transition and will always be grateful to them for giving me and my business a chance by becoming my first client.
